Giving Sunday

Each month, one Sunday is designated as Giving Sunday.  Heron House Members can nominate a non-profit of their choice to be chosen by drawing as the Non-profit Spotlight for the month.  On Giving Sunday, all seats are just $15 for non-members and free for members, with the goal of filling the studio with love and laughter.  Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Spotlight non-profit that month.

Our first giving spotlight was huge success, with over fifty participants and $500 donated to St. Jude's Carolina.  Thank you to Founding Member Sara Wright for nominating St. Jude's Carolina and serving on their board!

July's Giving Sunday was on July 26, and the Non-Profit Spotlight was LAWA: Latin Americans Working for Achievement whose mission is to advance the education and quality of life for Latinos in the Charlotte Region through scholarships, academic and cultural programs.  Thank you to founding member Julia Macias who nominated LAWA this month.  We are proud to join her in supporting them!
